Did you have a good time in the Mid-Autumn Festival? I bet most of you spent the day with your family and had a great dinner. Yet, do you feel a bit bored with the same arrangements every year? Here is my suggestion for an unforgettable Mid-Autumn Festival.
Most people choose to spend their time with families during festivals. However, there are some exceptions, for example the lonely elderly with no son or daughter staying around. With a view to sharing the festival joy with these people like a big family, you can join activities organised by charities and visit the elderly on the festival day. You can chat with them like a family member and spend time to help clean up their living units. By doing so, they can feel the love and care from society and enjoy the special day.
Moreover, you can join a bakery class and distribute your homemade moon cakes to the elderly since many of them live in poverty and cannot afford to buy moon cakes. Our little effort can make other less fortunate people enjoy the Mid-Autumn Festival and help our society become more harmonious. So try to join charity work and make the Mid-Autumn Festival as well as other festivals meaningful.
