HONG KONG RUGBY SEVENS

Each year around this time in Hong Kong, we hear about Rugby Sevens (or Hong Kong Sevens) and see billboards everywhere in town about this event.

This year's game was taken place from April 6 to 8 in the Hong Kong Stadium. As usual, a lot of Hong Kongers would dedicate the weekend to be part of this popular event, besides, there are also tourists flying in from all over the world just to watch the games live. It has, from year to year, became like a fun carnival which audiences get together with friends, dress up in creative costumes, cheers for their favourite teams and celebrate the success of the champion.

The Hong Kong Sevens is considered the premier tournament on the World Rugby Sevens Series competition, which teams are made up of 7 players playing 7-minute halves, instead of 15 players playing 40-minute halves in a regular rugby game.

Now guess who has been the biggest winner of Hong Kong Sevens? Fiji, also the winner of 2018 tournament, has won the championship for a record fourth time in a row and in the total of 18 times since 1976, followed by New Zealand, in the total of 11 times.
