I like Summer, because it is full of fun! Because of the hot weather, I enjoy eating ice cream, watermelon, and also have cold drinks in summer. I love swimming, so my parents often bring me to swimming pool, or beaches to play with sand, to have a sunbath or swimming under the sunshine. Wow, how nice and relaxing!
In Summer, we have Dragon Boat Festival. It is one of our Chinese traditional festivals. It is a remembrance of the legendary patriotic poet Qu Yuan. Nowadays, the main event of this festival is the Dragon Boat Races. These colourful boats are long and thin with dragon heads. It became a very famous race in the world now. Another tradition about this festival is eating rice dumplings. Although I do not like the rice dumplings very much, I would still respect our heritage. This is our treasure.
During summer holiday, my family would take me to a vacation overseas. We have been to Osaka and Tokyo of Japan, Seoul of Korea, Bangkok, Hua Hin and Phuket of Thailand, Singapore and Mainland China. I enjoy traveling around the world.
Summer is fun and amazing! It is definitely my favorite season.
