In the year of the Ox, let’s learn some special phases related to cow.

Have a cow
It means upset or angry about something.
E.g., Although your brother is naughty and breaks things all the time, don’t have a cow.

Cash cow
It means a product or service that makes a lot of money.
E.g., The new invented robotic product is a cash cow that will double our business revenue.

Sacred cow
It means a belief or custom that people will not challenge.
E.g., The team does not dare to challenge the sacred cow of staff guidelines established by the founder.

Until the cows come home
It means for a very long time.
E.g., The queue for vaccination is long and people wait until the cows come home to get vaccinated.

Take the bull by the horns
It means to do something difficult in a brave and determined way.
E.g., Soldiers have to take the bull by the horns in war for survival.
