Alkin CHAN

Hi! My name is Alkin and I am 9 years old. This is my first time have visited the Marine Police Base in Aberdeen. It was absolutely a great opportunity to get to meet real marine police and get to know more about their everyday job. The video and presentation the police did were very interesting and informative! I had a lot of fun on the marine police vessel. I have never imagined I got to see the tools police actually use when they’re on a mission.

On the vessel I saw many cool buttons, and I wonder how they could memorize all those. Imagine suddenly they received an urgent call and everybody had to get up, get armed, take their guns, hop on a speedboat and go on a dangerous mission, fighting with drug dealers importing drugs or illegal weapons to Hong Kong. What if someone messed up left and right under such stressful condition, I know I probably would. The police must have gone through very strict and though training so these accidents won’t happen.

I am going to pay more attention to my swimming classes from now on and hopefully one day I can be a Marine Police too!
