On February 13, I participated in a meaningful visit to the headquarters of the Civil Aviation Department (CAD) on Lantau Island. It was an amazing tour to learn more about the structure of the CAD and how the well-known Hong Kong International Airport operates.

We got the opportunity to know more about different types of aircraft and the settings of an airplane. We were taught the ways to examine different types of airplanes. Our instructor explained to us the size and special features of different planes. He also showed us the different supplies each airplane needs. I was particularly interested in the flight recorder, commonly known as"black box". It was extremely important for an airplane accident investigation as it records the sounds and conversations made in the cockpit.

his activity stimulated my interests in aviation and I will definitely participate in more related activities in the future.
