Introduction

Probationary Inspectors and Recruit Police Constables are required to undergo 36-week and 27-week residential training respectively upon entering the College, with the aim of cultivating their discipline and team spirit. Trainees mainly live in Blocks A, B, C (all completed in 1963) and J (completed in 1975). The blocks are arranged in H shape with East and West wings, each of which can accommodate about 240 trainees. Basic residential facilities are available in the dormitories, such as shower rooms and lounges. After the lessons end every day, trainees have to tidy up their uniforms and personal equipment, revise for examinations, and do cleaning inside the dormitories together. Instructors will conduct spot checks anytime. The open space outside every dormitory is always used as a venue for physical fitness and foot drill training.
