Thanks to the support of JPC, we were granted a valuable experience to raise funds for Christian & Missionary Alliance Church Union Hong Kong on 26th May, 2018.

In the community that we are familiar with, we started our flag selling task. The torrid and showery weather did not make our passion wane. We aimed at selling as much flags as we could so as to help more people in need.

On the bustle and hustle streets that I pass through every day, many passerby were willing to slow down their pace and give their coins. In the midst of my service, I saw a driver waving his hand and rushing to us for a flag. In the past, I thought that being a flag seller is meaningful because I could raise money to help people in need. But on top of that, throughout this experience, I was able to observe more deeply in the community than usual. In every single donation, I could feel the generosity of people in our community and their satisfaction.

Our packed daily schedule may make us ignorant to the needs of our neighbours in the community. This event has reminded us to be more aware of not only the needs of people beside us, but also the charity serving to the needy everyday which are calling for our support. I hope that I could have more opportunities to serve my community in the future.
