I joined the climbing competition which was held by the JPC. At first, I was scared because I was afraid of height. Therefore, I paid attention during the briefing session by the coach and I didn’t want to get hurt. I learned basic knowledge and skills about climbing. Finally, I started to climb up the “giant wall” in the afternoon.

At the beginning, I was afraid because the wall was 15 meters high. However, I took a deep breath and started my first step. I stepped on each stone carefully as I did not want to fall down. I was a bit tired after climbing up in the half way. I started to feel nervous and I screamed out loudly. I tried to go down as I thought I couldn’t climb up anymore. However, the coach not only did not let me down, but also encouraged me to climb up. I also heard a lot of encouraging words from my teammates.

Therefore, I tried my best to climb up. I recalled the skills what the coach had taught me and I continue to climb up step by step slowly. Finally, I succeeded in climbing up to the top. I was so grateful that I didn’t give up and I learned how to be tough in facing challenge. Thank JPC for inviting me to join the climbing competition.
