JPC A-leader of Kowloon City District
TANG Yu-hin

Junior Police Call has provided a lot of chances for me to stay in hotels in different countries and mainland China through various exchange programmes. However, this is the first time that I stay in a Hong Kong hotel with the Kowloon City Junior Police Call which gived me different experiences.

Owing to the Covid 19, we cannot go to other cities or countries and so many regular summer exchange programmes have been cancelled. Therefore, KCJPC has organised the staycation event to let us know more about the tourism of Hong Kong and have a chance to gather with JPC members and our Honorary Presidents.

First of all, we arrived at the hotel and checked in. The room was bigger than we expected. We could relax ourselves in the room by watching TV, listening to music or to playing board game together. In the evening, it was the most exciting moment for us, the dinner buffet! There were so many types of food, sea urchin, sashimi, king prawns and crabs, oysters, etc. That made me panegyrize again Hong Kong is a food paradise.

After we finished dinner, it was the most impressive part for us, the sharing session with our Honorary Presidents of the KCJPC. There were around 10 Presidents to share with us. It was an valuable opportunity that a lot of JPC members raised their questions. We asked about some advice for our career, the future development of JPC, the successful secrets of Honorary Presidents and as well as how to be a good person to the society. I would like to thank the Honorary Presidents for their selfless sharing and their arrangement for the staycation that we had a great time and an enjoyable evening. After the sharing session, it was the time for us to take a rest.

On the next day, it was a microfilm appreciation seminar after we enjoyed a hearty breakfast. The film talked about anti-drug that a teenager had fallen into a wrong path which made him in danger. After the film, we could have first-hand experience with the effects of taking drugs by VR glasses. It was very interesting for us to use a different approach to promote the anti-drug awareness.

To conclude, thanks to KCJPC again for giving us the chance to have a great staycation experience in Hong Kong. We hope the epidemic can be mitigated and the exchange programmes to the world and mainland China can be organised again in the near future.
