At an award presentation ceremony on November 5, the Secretary for the Civil Service (SCS), Mr Clement Cheung, presented his commendation to 84 civil servants for their exemplary performances.
This year, 12 members of the Force have been commended, earning for the Force the honour of being the government department with the highest number of awardees. Nine of the officers received their awards at the ceremony, witnessed by Deputy Commissioner (Management) Chau Kwok-leung and Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Lau Chi-wai.
The 12 officers are Superintendent Yu Yin-ching, Chief Inspector Li Kai-ming, Station Sergeants Chan Wai-ming, Cheng Wing-shun, Fung Kei, Ho Yau-hon, Kwong San-keung, Lee Kai-hung, Ng Siu-wa and Yu Hon-wing, and Sergeants Chu Wai-hong and Ng Tsan-wing.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Cheung thanked the awardees for their contributions to the Government and the community. He pointed out that the rising public expectations of government services in recent years had inevitably brought pressure and challenges to civil servants. He encouraged them to continue providing quality services, and work together to build a harmonious and united society.
The SCS' Commendation Scheme was introduced in 2004 to honour the civil servants who have come up with outstanding performances for at least five consecutive years.
